Assaidi to Liverpool, Money Talks!

Well Assaidi’s agent did say there was interest from abroad and look what’s happened – Ajax transfer target has been hi-jacked by Liverpool who have come in for the winger. The player was also wanted by Spartak Moscow and Galatasaray before Liverpool made their approach.

This will see the English club offer a better salary than Dutch Champions Ajax, where he wanted to go and stay close to his family, who are based in Holland.

Maybe it was all due to the difference in salary? Assaidi demanding 1.6 million euro’s and Ajax offering 1.1 million euro’s.

The Liverpool manager Brandon Rogers sees Oussama Assaidi as someone who will improve their options on both flanks. Liverpool has beaten Ajax and Fulham to the £2.4m signing of the Morocco winger Oussama Assaidi.

Former Ajax Manager Martin Jol then sought to use his Dutch contacts to bring Assaidi to Craven Cottage only for Liverpool to agree a deal that will see the winger become Brendan Rodgers’s third summer signing.

He is due on Merseyside on Thursday night, and should he pass a medical and be registered before noon on Friday, he can go straight into the squad for the Premier League opener at West Bromwich Albion on Saturday.

Rodgers does not view Assaidi as an immediate first-team starter but someone who will improve his options on both flanks and strengthen the Liverpool squad. The winger has spent his entire professional career in the Dutch leagues.

So Assaidi missing out on Champions League football and not guaranteeing first team football, Money Talks!!!!
