Edgar Davids

Edgar Davids played at Schellingwoude Amsterdam in his youth where imagehis talents got discovered by Ajax. When Davids was 18 years old he made his dèbut on the 8th of September 1991 against RKC Waalwijk. Davids became an important player for Ajax and awarded his hard work by winning the Champions League with Ajax in 1995. While at Ajax, he was nicknamed “The Pitbull” by Ajax manager Louis van Gaal due to his fierce style of play and bite in the midfield. Davids played his last game for Ajax on the 22th of May 1996 in the Champions League final against Juventus which ended in a loss. After spending five years in the first team at Ajax he left for a new challenge by joining AC Milan.
