The 20-year old is reportedly on the radar of both PSV Eindhoven and Ajax after an impressive third season in the Vitesse Arnhem first team.
The midfielder has scored eight goals in 31 appearances and has earned his first call-up to the national team.
He is now being discussed as a possible replacement for Ajax’s Siem de Jong, who is set to leave the Amsterdam club at the end of the season.
And Van Ginkel admits he is not sure where he will be plying his trade next season.
He told De Telegraaf: “I will not necessarily leave, but you never know what will happen.
“We saw last year with Alexander Buttner, If suddenly Manchester United are at the door, it’s a different story.”
But the youngster also believes it may be better for his development to remain with Arnhem.
He added: “I think clubs like Ajax and PSV are beyond us. Those are bigger clubs, almost each year they play in the Champions League.
“But if you’re young, it is important to get minutes on the pitch and I can here.”
